I’ve lost count of the videos I’ve seen lately...
Women in leadership, in meetings, in motherhood
talking about burnout, breakdowns, bias, and barriers.
And let me be clear:
Yes, many women are struggling.
Yes, many women are suffering.
Yes, I’ve been one of them.
I’ve lived the trauma of being being bullied by my boss a decade ago,
While suffering an early miscarriage.
But I didn’t fight my way back by telling people I was broken.
I got to where I am now because I'm not afraid to showcase the value in working with me.
That's how I built my practice.
So when I see content that says
“we deserve equity BECAUSE we’ve suffered,”
I have to challenge it.
Not because it’s wrong
but because it’s incomplete.
We need to tell both truths;
📌 That we’ve faced hardship AND
📌 That we’re worth investing in.
Here’s what happens when we lead ONLY with suffering:
↳ Women start to believe they have to be broken to be heard.
↳ Employers start seeing risk instead of resilience.
↳ And worst of all, leaders start handing out token roles instead of real ones.
If your story is hardship, that’s okay.
I support you.
But don’t stop there.
🧠 What skill did it build in you?
🧠 What strength did it sharpen?
🧠 What perspective do you now have that others don’t?
That’s the difference between pity and power.
Between awareness and action.
And if you lead a business, let me tell you this:
You cannot build gender equity through compassion alone.
You need proof.
You need patterns.
You need to uncover the HIDDEN gender biases.
FYI, I'm running a free, live workshop on 14th August at 11:00am
to show you, in real time, how hidden gender equity risks are costing you retention,
reputation,
and results -
long before you get sued.

It gives you a full diagnostic breakdown of the invisible gaps and legal risks already living in your business (most of which HR has never flagged)
Because these gaps aren’t intentional.
But they are dangerous.
And prevention isn’t a buzzword
it’s becoming law.
